I can say with confidence, I AM a My Father’s House Foundation SHINING STAR! Confidence is something I never had before becoming a part of MFHF. I was actually made to look into a mirror and tell who I saw in the mirror. The person I saw then, is not the person I am today. MFHF made me believe I can do anything I want to do if I stick to it long enough. I can now help others that are in the situation I was in, through public speaking and sharing what I learned with MFHF. MFHF is my extended family. I now live in a different city, but I am in contact with MFHF staff. I would like to encourage youth in the Birmingham area to become a part of this great organization, I am proof, there is life after emancipation. I never would have made it without MFHF!
